One of the powerful advantages of a world class product like LaserFiche is the strong network of committed value added resellers (VAR's) that support it. The LaserFiche VAR network provides a tremendous level of field-based support with cumulative experience encompassing practically every type of application and challenge. BOLT is a very active participant in the LaserFiche VAR network (see reprint from LaserFiche VAR newsletter below) and we are always quick to utilize this tremendous resource whenever it is applicable.

The following is re-printed from the LaserFiche VAR Site:

VAR Forum surpasses 5,000 post-milestone

*THE LASERFICHE VAR FORUM SURPASSED 5,000 POSTS this year and, in the process, became a truly dynamic VAR support resource, according to one VAR who visits daily and contributes regularly.

"The Forum gives every VAR a dynamic picture of what is happening with LaserFiche at any given moment," says Jeff Nelson of Bolt Document Management, a first-time Winners Circle VAR based in Elkhart, IN. "The breadth of experiences that are shared is truly amazing. It is now a very important clearinghouse for VARs in the field.

"I also see the Forum as a key reason why LaserFiche VARs see themselves as part of a community. No matter where you go, you know because of the Forum that you are with a solid company with committed representatives all over the globe."

Nelson is one of the most frequent contributors to the Forum. Others known for their generosity in sharing experiences include:

 • John Van Buskirk/R&S Integrated Products and Services
 • Franz Gangl/IKON Office Solutions/Ontario
 • Luis Fernando Granier/CGS
 • Lance Cavener /Senarius
 • Keith Caravelli/Keith Tech, Inc.
 • Troy Young/CPR Solutions

According to LaserFiche Marketing Director Tom Wayman, the inaugurator the VAR Forum, traffic on the Forum has increased from 30-40 posts per day at the end of last year to 50-60 per day.

"We had an all-time record of 125 posts one day last March," he says. "The knowledge base has grown enormously since last year. If you have a question now, it's almost a sure bet that you will find something on it with a search or can get an answer very quickly by posting a new topic."

Wayman says that the new "Feature Questions, Feature Requests" Forum, inviting VARs to suggest enhancements and additions to the product line is the most popular new forum. He adds that he is planning to start producing searchable CDs of Forum content to be distributed to VARs quarterly. The initiative follows up on a suggestion in the Forum from Jeff Nelson, who  believes they will be valuable assets when working on site.
