Production and Specialty Scanning: BOLT offers scanning services (and pre-scan prep) for documents of all shapes, sizes, and types. We can handle documents ranging in size from business cards, checks, and coupons up to large and over-sized engineering drawing, maps, etc. We work with small and large volumes on a one-time or on-going basis, and we can scan your documents at our location or yours. We can also scan your bound information such as old municipal record books. A wide range of resolutions, formats, and imaging enhancement technologies are available.

Indexing: Scanning your documents is only part of any imaging job. In order to efficiently search and find documents later you need indexing. BOLT can provide fast and accurate indexing services for images scanned or captured by you or us. From simple folder/document naming and automated recognition indexing (such as Optical Character Recognition), to more complex indexing processes, we can do it.

Data Key Entry: Data key entry and validation are an important part of many indexing and data capture operations. Performed in-house, these entry operations often represent very inefficient use of manpower or can even be totally impractical. The solution is as simple as letting a data key service perform these operations for you via a secure Internet connection. Reading the information from any type of document images (your scanning or ours), data entry specialists enter data into any popular or industry standard format you specify. In addition to simple single key operations, double key entry and validation from your database files are also available. Fast turn-around (24, 48, or 72 hour) on scheduled re-occurring jobs is available for medical and insurance records and claims, check processing, etc. This remote data entry is available as a state-side service, or for even greater savings ask about our offshore services.

Image Conversion: Many times it is desirable to enter maps, engineering drawings, and information into a CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) or GIS (Global Information System) program. But when the information exists only on paper, it must first be converted or entered from scratch as a vector (computer language) file. BOLT can make quick and efficient work of converting your paper-based maps, drawings, and prints by scanning them and having them re-created as CAD or GIS files for you. These files are genuine vector files re-created from your prints and ready to go so you will save countless hours of 'clean-up' time. Available as either a stateside or offshore service, you will be pleasantly surprised at how affordable our conversion service is.

Data Conversion: If you already have digital images but need to convert their format or indexing, we can help. Earlier (and even some current) imaging solutions utilize proprietary hardware and/or image storage formats. This can result in your information becoming 'trapped' in that application. We can convert your old information to migrate into a new open-standards system. Don't continue using a dead-end system - convert your files!

Film Conversion: Microfilm, microfiche, and aperture cards have been used for many years as a way of archiving documents. The superior benefits, features, performance, and cost effectiveness of digital imaging has caused a large number of organizations to switch from film. Many more would switch if much of their legacy data didn't exist on film-based media. BOLT can convert film based images to a digital format to run on digital systems. Conversion of your film archives mean that you no longer need to keep your old film system around for search and viewing. Other advantages of converting to digital include powerful search capabilities, distribution over networks and the Internet, creation of portable libraries, easy back-ups and simplified future media migrations.

Language Translation/Conversion: Now your important documents can be translated into more than 30 major languages. From your scanned documents we can provide translations including editing, abstracting, proofreading, and more. Via a network of over 200 translators, interpreters, desktop publishers, editors, and transcribers, you can make your information available (and understandable) anywhere in the world.

CD and DVD Libraries: BOLT can takes entire cabinets full of documents and make them portable and searchable on CD or DVD discs. By creating your library as 'run-time', a search-engine and image viewer software are installed on your discs and can load and run on any PC. Now your important information can travel with you and be instantly available on your laptop (or any desktop) computer.

Internet Document Distribution: BOLT provides document services via the Internet with www.DocItToMe.com and other images servers (both private/corporate and public/municipal are available). Your scanned and indexed images can be available 7/24 anywhere in the world via the Internet by anyone using their Internet browser. You can assign user name and password access for security to your documents. Additional documents can be added to your account at any time by faxing, mailing, or e-mailing them to us.

Data Archiving: Some regulatory agencies require that imaged documents must be augmented with a back-up copy stored off-site. Others (such as the Securities Exchange Commission) go further by requiring that the off-site service be able to re-construct the data to a useable, indexed format. BOLT offers services to satisfy these requirements. We can also provide scheduled migration of archived digital media.

Disaster Recovery: Most important paper-based documents contain irreplaceable information. Let us help you protect it. Working together with you, BOLT can assist you in creating a disaster recovery plan for your documents. We can help you to be sure that all of your paper-based information is properly scanned and stored both on and off site. We can also help you plan ahead to provide virtually immediate access to your important information if disaster destroys or blocks access to your originals.

Research: One of the fastest growing uses for digital document imaging is its' use in the research of printed material. Utilizing fast scanning and OCR indexing techniques, tens of thousands of documents can become searchable by content in a very short time. What involved hundreds of man-hours to search and index in the past now becomes an easy job. Add CD portability and the search and view capabilities become powerful tools for trial lawyers, engineers, technicians, and many more.

Wide Format Printing and Laminating: We offer large format color (photo-realistic) printing of both scanned and digitally created images. This can be useful for everything from providing copies of large drawings and maps to creation of indoor poster or banner graphics. We also offer laminating services to protect and preserve your large and frequently handled documents and displays.
