Now LaserficheTM users can benefit from ‘one button’ style scanning using Kodak Smart Touch document scanners and BOLT Bridge software. BOLT Bridge enables the Smart Touch feature to reduce user input, eliminate input errors, and save time when scanning documents into a Laserfiche system.
BOLT Bridge functions by allowing users to define and store up to nine different document profiles. At scan time users simply select the desired profile number at the Smart Touch button on the scanner control panel. The scanned document is then automatically named, indexed, and routed directly into Laserfiche in real time. The document profiles can also be configured to prompt users for document information and even attach sticky notes if desired. BOLT Bridge communicates directly with the Laserfiche server and does not require that the Laserfiche client be installed on the scanning workstation.
